Requirements

Linux, *BSD, or other Unix-style system
Apache 2¹ with mod_rewrite
PHP 5 (PHP 5.1 or greater HIGHLY recommended²) with the DOM (not DOM XML) extension
The DOM (not DOM XML) extension for PHP
The GD extension for PHP
GNU Make
Perl 5

¹: Your apache must have mod_rewrite, and .htaccess files must have permission for the Limit directive (AllowOverride Limit).

²: Versions of PHP 5 before 5.1 contain file-locking bugs that degrade performance and can cause performance and user-interface issues (no data corruption).
